Lumen Field - A Lamp Series is part of No.29’s ongoing exploration of light as a material—an inquiry into how illumination, time, and memory can take form through delicate structures.

Each lamp is handcrafted using layered rice paper, carefully cut, folded, and assembled by hand. Chosen for its translucency and organic texture, rice paper allows light to pass through in a softened, diffused manner, creating subtle gradations between opacity and glow. The result is a gentle, breathing luminosity—quiet, warm, and atmospheric.

A body in motion, as if moonlight were gathering, then loosening, in a silent, continuous dance.

Nyx, a swaying form, fluid and unstill, holding darkness and light in a quiet, shifting balance.

Selene

Selene, an unopened bloom, a soft-bodied presence, light resting within, breathing gently outward.

Vesta

Vesta, a rounded bloom mid-opening, its form gathering and releasing light in slow, tender waves.

Lynette Huang

Lynette Huang’s ceramic practice is rooted in the quiet intimacy of the hand. Through slow, tactile making, she shapes objects that hold softness, traceability, and emotion—surfaces where touch becomes a kind of memory.

Her work lingers in texture and glaze, in shifting colors that feel both delicate and alive. Inspired by the freeform silhouettes of dying yet hopeful trees and leaves, Huang creates vessels and forms that echo fragility, resilience, and the tenderness of transformation. Each piece becomes a small landscape of feeling—an offering of warmth, impermanence, and care.
